Dear sir or madam,
Since an early age I had a great passion and big love to help others, especially the oppressed
ones. Hoping always for justice and being the voice of people without a voice, defending and being
always an advocate for the right. However, I didn’t decide to study Law until I was in high school and
I started communicating more with people, having more experience in life and understood how much
we are in need of people standing with others and defending each other’s. I finished my bachelor’s
degree in law at King Abdul-Aziz University with love and passion. During those years every day was
the beginning of a new chapter in my life and one step further to achieve my goals.
My love to learn about different cultures along with the great reputation of the graduate
programs in the law field in the United States made me convinced that I am on the right track and
made my mind and decided that I will continue my graduate studies in the U.S. Eventually, I graduated
from the university with the second-class honor, and my GPA was 4.63 out of 5.
My great and most challenging experience was during my six-month internship program after
graduating from school, during this period I was exposed to the real work experience where I worked
as a trainee lawyer writing regulations and legal notes, pleading in court and providing legal advices.
Following that I got my first job offer in a law firm and this is when I applied for a scholarship
competition program held by the government where and was selected with 10 other students to
represent our country in this program.
That was the most challenging and difficult step to be taken in my life, leaving the kingdom
staying away from my parents and coming alone to the United States to continue my master’s degrees.
But with all the passion I have and all the strength I gained I was able to convince them, and despite
all the pressure. I am still facing and all the challenges and obstacles, I am completely confident that
it is only a test of my patience and my endurance and I will never give up until I reach my goal.
After accepting the government scholarship, I moved to the United states and was eager to
make my English better so I applied to the University of Washington Institute IELP in Seattle where
I am now in the fifth level of language and will be done by June 2020. I Feel so proud of myself when
I see all the progress I had in speaking and writing the second language, It is true that I had a lot of
ups and downs but I am positive that where I am now is a great level to continue my master degree at
your university.
Having this master’s degree will open a lot of doors for me and will give me the opportunity
to succeed in my future plans. My dream will come true when I return to my country holding my
master’s degree from your university and opening my own law firm. I also believe that the experience
that I will gain during my studies at your prestigious university along with the great knowledge that I
will be gaining with the presence of a distinguished group of faculty members will make me a great
leader and an outstanding lawyer.
